Delete your Kids AI Mentor account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Kids AI Mentor mobile app account and the personal data linked to it. You can delete your account yourself in the app, or contact us by email.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the Kids AI Mentor app on your device.
- Sign in with your parent account.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Enter your password and confirm.
After confirmation, your parent account is removed immediately and you are signed out. If you are the only parent on the family account, we also delete your family’s child profiles, habits, task history, and related app data on our servers.
If your spouse is linked to the same family, only your parent account is removed; the family and shared data remain for the other parent unless they also request deletion.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us from the address used for your account:

Subject line: Kids AI Mentor account deletion request
Include:
- The email address registered to your Kids AI Mentor account
- A short note that you want your account and associated data deleted
We will verify ownership and complete deletion within 30 days (usually sooner).
What we delete
When your account is fully deleted, we remove from our systems:
- Parent account email and login credentials (password is stored hashed; all auth tokens are revoked)
- Child profiles (name, birthdate/age, avatar, and color settings)
- Habits and custom tasks you created
- Task completion history, streaks, and progress data
- Curriculum and habit-assignment data linked to your children
- Family membership and pending spouse invite records (when you are the sole account holder)
- Local app cache on your device is cleared when you delete the account or uninstall the app
What we may keep (and for how long)
- Server security logs (e.g. IP address, request timestamps) — up to 90 days, then automatically deleted, unless needed for a security investigation.
- Backup copies — may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten.
- Records we must keep by law (e.g. billing or tax records) — only if applicable; Kids AI Mentor does not store payment card data on our servers when billing is handled by Google Play.
- Waitlist signup data — separate from the mobile app; delete via email request if you previously joined the website waitlist.
